Wedding Dress turned into PB

Sue initially rent out my wedding dress. I've gotten a lot of responses, however when it comes to fitting the dress on the bridetobe, all of them tak dpt to get to wear it. One of the girl seems soo slim and tall, from first glance, I thought to myself, she can wear it fine, but tak dpt zip up! I was disappointed as well as them. So, I decided to sell it , one because its really hard to find the right girl to rent, and ramai yang interested to buy it to resize it. secondly, I'm so far away from home to manage it.

I got to sell it at last..in September this year. A guy asked me about the dress through FB to arrange for his gf who works in Vietnam. I was very pleased to deal with them, everything seems so easy, the girl tried the dress and fits her beautifully. That's what the girl and my sister said. I was actually very happy that! At last..there's another girl fits the dress..

It was hard to let go, but I guess its for a good cause! because I got myself the PB! For something that instead of keeping the dress in my cupboard, I got to wear PB for everyday for an exchange!

So I started to wear PB on the 22nd September, ordered all the way from Malaysia. Arranged by a friend of mine here thru her sister. very easy to deal with too. no hassle at all. Alhamdullilah.

2Months + today, with tak regular pakai PB sgt. Issue that I ada with PB is I could not get PB to dry out overnight, at times it takes 2 days to kering mainly because weather. Now is winter, approx 5 to 10 Celsius. later expected to zero n minus degrees, snow in Dec,Jan..

However I can see positive effects, not in KGs tho.. more on skin texture I can see better skin, and my pregnancy stretch mark dah reduced sgt! My boobies dah in better shape n terletak, yes, I still breastfeed Adriana, alhamdullilah. Milk lagi banyak on the days pakai PB. My waist dah ada shape and my bulging tummy dah reduced! Hubby said he can see a lot of changes. that makes me =) happy!

PB is so comfortable and it gives you a good posture bila sit in the office.I used to have a serious problem with my spine/back, and PB does helps. I bought a few Spanx before PB ni, ranging from the the murah to mahal, I beli byk range, but they are incomparable to PB. I tak pernah rasa sakit masa pakai PB.

I really hope I can see changes in my berat in the next coming months. My pre pregnancy weight was 48kgs, but I just need 50kgs! now still 55,54kgs, so I really hope I can shed this 5 kgs. Start with makan malam yang lambat..cuz of my hectic life being a working mom! Need to change that, hopefully soon!

this was the e-invitation for Adriana's 1st bday - my lil bro created it. The venue was at Ambassor's house, which was a huge house with a garden to rent the bouncing castle for the kids to play, unfortunately weather was not with our side that day, it was raining heavily the bouncing castle filled up with water. The thing is actually bentuk horses carrousel, so cantik, but takde rezeki for the kids to play..

Sue d.i.y'ed Adriana's bday party decor myself..Bumblebee inspired bday theme. Yellow & black colours, so vibrant and happy kan? I took a day off from office to buat the banner, Semangat kan? I love to do all these stuffs. The bee boopers/headbands I buat sendiri jugak every weekend, got the headbands, the craft balls and straw fillers from the 2 euro shop. Glad I can find these stuffs to make these.

Adriana first steps are 3 days before her bday! =) and I was with her at the time.

We had a great time at the birthday party..now can't wait for her next bday =))

Salam. its been ages Sue tak post any blog! all of laptops in the house rosak cuz Adriana buat gendang. We haven't got time to repair cuz too busy until last week baru sorted! Salam Ramadhan to all. i really missed blogging, so much to write cuz I might forget how Adriana growing up. She is going to be 10 months tomorrow, so many months dah missed.

today, while cooking for dinner, saw Adriana started crawling! last last tgk dia dah nak masuk kitchen. means we have to find the safegate to tutup our kitchen!

Adriana started rolling at 4+ months, menyusur at 5 months. She started to do minipushups and shuffled her bottom at 5+. And today, at 6+ months, she crawled. Her 2 first tooth (bawah) dah very clear, suka gigit Mama dia masa bf. If terjerit at night, mmg Adriana lah. She likes to eat sendiri, but ending mmg messy lah.

We started to feed her at 5+ months. Adriana was showing the sign to eat like early 4 months but I delayed it as long as I cound, even after all the granmas dah sound sound, siap ckp' tak baik tarik rezeki dia Tuhan dah bagi' sbb tak kasi kasi mkn lagi. She loves to see ppl eating, if letak kat meja makan she surely try to reach anything that she can get her hands on. but Baby will always show all of those signs. The reason I delayed it because the later the baby makan, macam lagi pandai lah. Hehe, its just that the later you feed them, the longer they depends on milk.

I am still bf Adriana which Sue sgt syukur I still am. I started working balik after 7 months maternity leave last week and boy, I was lucky. Last week kerja only for 3 days, as it was Easter weekend and this week, 4 days working day only, Monday was Bank Holiday. Same with next week. So basically I am gradually starting to get to work, and slowly adapting Adriana with the routine. Lunch time, Sue balik rumah to BF her. My work to home takes me 7 mins on the tram.

My friend yang babysit Adriana while Im working. She actually dah jaga 2 babies of her sister here in Dublin, now babies dah jadi two big boys! So dia mmg hustler la jaga baby ni. I yang tanya dia baby stuff, and she is only 23! Like today Adriana is not feeling well, she took care of Adriana n now malam sgt active!

Adriana first giggle was the next day after arrived Malaysia, she was 3 months. seriously masa giggle paling best, tgk her face n cute giggles. best!

Sue have had this problem longg ago, few years back but I did not take any action till after my wedding, sakit teramat which Sue kena naik wheelchair. when people said ' STRESS is not good for your health' I don't know what that means..I thought stress jadi naik berat badan ke, kurus sgt ke, tak boleh tido ker..but in my case my STRESS leads to sakit belakang.

I started working when I was 22, soon after I got my degree. so while working, I did part time ACCA which I found that myself juggling with time masa tu. I still remember how stressed I was, rambut pun gugur! After I got my ACCA back in 2007, nothing else to do, so I put my 110% on work. I work late n on weekends, even public holidays which quite rare lah omputih kat nak buat all of that. I admit that i exert myself too much, sampai nak pergi toilet pun, I tak sempat nak layan n not drinking water while working!

All of that leads to my sakit belakang but I didn't notice until its too late.

So what is my point saying all this? well, take care of yourself, do not get stress unnecessarily, no need pun nak stress..try take a brisk walk during lunch time, every 2 or 3 hours sitting kat work, try jenjalan amik air ke kan? cuz once dah sakit, dah susah n costly!

also i would like to share, while I was in malaysia last few months, my Mak Long had suggested me to see SIFU. yes, chinese man who can 'cure' n solve my sakit belakang. at first, Sue mmg not interested to go n see him, but after second thought, why not try to see how the SIFU works.

this SIFU lives in Sri Petaling, just behind Endah Parade ( near Bukit Jalil - passing KESAS highway). his rate will vary, but in my case, he said rm500. but dont be terkejut that rm500 worth only 5 minutes of his time. yes, crazi. When i told this to my hubby, first thing he said - confirm u dah kena tipu. boleh tak?

first he will tell you , cilita cilita lah how things will work. also, photos of past customers. semua gambar belakang, before n after. yes, mcam makeup artist nak tunjuk terer - before n after effect.

since Sue dah kat situ, and I think as if I have other option. I want this sakit belakang to go away, I can't do follow ups sbb staying in dublin kan, so I went ahead. He uses the 'kungfu' techniques. 5 mins je my body dikungfu, and all done. seriously, I felt different straightaway. As long I could remember I can never bend down to touch my toes, but I can now!

i dont know if I want to recommend to ppl about this, but this really works. Alhamdullilah syukur I don't have sakit belakang since then. and about the before n after photos, yes I have those with me, and I can see my tulang belakang is now aligned! yeay!

ada this case, budak skolah kan bawak beg berat, so this kid had his tulang belakang senget.kesian kan. the parents brought him to see doctors, semua suggest operations. but this SIFU said he can help, with rm1500 la tapi..so this SIFU rates will vary of how serious your sakit is..

its already April, we are 1/4 through the year! time really flew by kan?...!

I really wanted to blog while I was in Malaysia, but since I do not have my own laptop..so i reason by that not to blog =p, but when arrived back here in Dublin, I wanted to, but I couldn't find the dear time to blog..and I'm doing this quickly before my lil' boss (baby Adriana) wakes up..

I would really like to summarise my beautiful 2.5 months in Malaysia, I really glad that I did spent my time with my family and friends..

January 2011

1.1.2011 : arrived Malaysia, travelled alone with Baby Adriana (3months), she was an Angel..didn't cry a bit, she slept mostly the whole 20 hours trip. I was very lucky kan..? my 1st wedding anniversary we were apart, but was really happy to get Tiffany bracelet for the gift! thank you luv.

this month I got to see most of my friends, some came over to my parents house in Bangi, or I went to see them in Empire. very happy to see them all!

Hana & Izany 's grand wedding @ Mandarin Oriental. The wedding was 100% Jovian Mandagie's.from the invitation card, pelamin, baju to the gifts. even the guests meja makan were decorated with cute tutus! I really enjoyed the foods, 9 course meal were super delicious. We were served until 11 pm..byk betul makanan.. the dress was super gorgeous. the invited artist that night was urgh i forgot this indonesian singer - who sings 'pencinta wanita' duhh. exclusively flew for her from indonesia for her wedding!

2nd wedding I went was @ Saujana Impian, Kajang. was my in laws neighbour's wedding. the wedding planner was Pak Abu. but if this is my pelamin which worth rm50k, seriously, i'd cry all the way during my wedding..

Went to Bandung,Indon with my parents. Yes, I brought the lil baby with me. We stayed there for 6 days. My expectation was quite high kot cuz when I read reviews, ramai said Bandung is a shopping heaven, but for me, I find it difficult to find nice things and the stuff too crowded,all over the place. I didn't quite enjoy it =(. I shop too little. But I managed to spend one whole day in a Spa. - Roger's Spa in Jalan Riau. highly recommended! top to toe pampering!

Within these beautiful 2 months being with my lil baby, Adriana :-

Week 1:
The nurse came over to our crib to weight Adriana, her weight dropped to 3.45kg, which this is normal for babies, normal weight drop in the first week is about 10% approx. We bought the room heater, since it was Autumn and it got colder each day, so we put her a few layers of clothes and switches on the heater, but the nurse said, if you don't find it chilly, don't switch on the heater and the baby doesn't need extra clothes on..oh ye ke? photos below to show how tebal we put her on..sian dia..

Week 2:
Adriana does not like to be swaddled, so we put her on her tummy while she sleeps. I am aware that this is very dangerous, and its a big no-no sebab the SIDS, one of the things we should not do to avoid the cot death, tapi she sleeps so much better and comfortably, so we monitor her every minute. By the end of the week, she can put up her head and turn her head kanan kiri even while shes asleep, and we are not worried anymore if Adriana lemas, nauzubillah jauhkanlah, and we still continually checking her frequently.

We also put her to sleep with us, or also known as co-sleeping. We know that it was too soon for her to co-sleep with us, but her Mama does not want to disturb her Papa's sleep so that he can work properly the next day. And her Mama was also not well and fully recovered (pantang the 2nd week) to get up everytime at night to get her from the cot. Also Adriana is a big baby and the bed is a superking size, on that reasons, Sue confidently put her to sleep with us.

There are also a few other things that we decided to do it our way. I got this from my best friend's blog, which I think is the best advise :-

Adriana's weight got back to her birth weight - 3.54kg. Photo below to show how BULAT she was in her 2nd week. and gelap too...

Week 3:
She developed rashes on her face. tiny red spots, or known as Milia. We put Calamine Lotion on her face.Her face got quite dry after using it, which I do not recommend to use Calamine lotion on baby..

Sue sakit belakang so I refuse to ajar Adriana dukung..so what I normally do is, after feeding, burp her and put her straight on her mat, or cot..
But biasa lah orang tua tak boleh nak dgr baby crying, MakLong sure terus angkat and dukung Adriana, dodoi kan dia..haiihh princess betul. Mama cannot do like that ok Adriana..

Week 4: (1 month old)
Finally BCG jab, which was supposed to get after birth, but it was weekend at the time and the hospital had arranged an appointment for it on her 2nd week, but her Mama totally forgotten about it and the next appointment was in her 4th week. Sorry darling, Mama seems to be so forgetful these days, banyak urat putus agaknya..

Her rashes worsen, and the nurse advised to get a moisturiser for her. We bought Aqueous and works perfectly fine on her. Spots eventually gone..

Week 5:
This week she wanted to be hold je. So even tido she wanted letak atas badan. Maybe because weather started to enter winter season and colder, she needs the heat. Sue memang tak ajar her dukung, but at night, her Papa likes to dukung her..So I explained to her that I can't do like Papa did..she looked at me as if she understand..

Adriana started to smile this week. I was really tired one day and sleepy, but skali Adriana gave her biggest smile, terus hilang penat and I was ready to play with her again. There was also one time, I said, 'baby, I love you'..and she gave me her purest, biggest grin, and I was totally melt. It was magic. It least it did for me...

I once read, not sure kat mana, babycentre kot. The child psychiatrist said baby will start to give you their purest smile, their way to say thank you for all the hardest first few weeks of minding them. And to tell that they feel safe and settled with you. Sweet kan? =)

End of week 5, her skin behind the ears and the neck became reddish and weepy.

Week 6:
Doctor's 6th week checkup, her weight is 4.63kg. Doctor has confirmed that she has eczema, a mild one though. I really hope this will be temporary...anyway, doctor ckp mmg baby in Dublin overall mmg senang got this eczema especially in winter.

One thing je doctor said very rare, Adriana has no rash on her bottom. Mostly baby over here, mesti ada bottom rash. Alhamdullilah till today still no rash. I really don't want her to get them, sebab it will be very hard to heal. One tip - please use baby cotton balls when doing the nappy change, because moms nowadays tend to use the baby wipes. Baby wipes best to use after the baby is 6months +. That was what midwife said to me.

However, her rash behind ears and her neck became more weepy and even smelly. Doctor prescribed cream, Alhamdulillah it heals immediately the next day.

Week 7:
Adriana selsema and batuk. Baby won't develop sakit sendiri unless ada someone carries the virus. Unfortunately ada visitor yang selsema which we tak perasan awal awal..and main with Adriana..so dah terjangkit. Poor little baby, she could not breathe properly..tersekat sekat, and she tak pandai lagi to breathe through her mouth. Even tido she wanted to be hugged so that she could sleep straight so she can breathe easily..

We got her saline nose drop, which masukkan a drop into her nostril, and use the suction bulb to clear her nose. poor baby..but she calms je when her mama guna suction bulp into her nose. mata bulat kelip kelip..

End of week 7 , we went to see her nurse- weight check 4.8kg. no wonder she is heavy! Adriana got scalp and dandruff on her head, or we call it Cradle Cap. Poor lil Adriana, unfortunately she got all this because her father got Asthma when he was young, so Adriana developed all this eczema n skin problem, so much of father's genes on her. For this skin problem, we use the cradle cap shampoo which thank god, bau wangi from rose water and not bau ubat kan.

Week 8: (2 months old)
Today, she is 2 months old. And still snowing outside. Its our 6 days of snow non-stop.
Yes, of course it is beautiful, everywhere outside is white, as if covered by a white blanket..suci..

Alhamdullilah..so far Adriana has been a very calm baby.No colic, or perut berangin, so baby only cries when she needs milk, nappy change, nk tido or sejuk(after bath). At this stage, her Papa n Mama knows what she wants because we can read her crying tone..if nak tido, cry manja2..
She has a routine..She sleeps 3 to 4 hours at one time in the day, and during intervals, milk, nappy change, milk, sleep again, but lately she is more awake. At night time, its Papas time, where her father looks after her. She goes to sleep paling lambat at 1am which with her Papa. and she wakes up the next morning around 7. best sgt because she sleeps like us at night time.
When nappy change, even she is crying, if I said Im going to do nappy change and unbutton her cloth, she'll be quiet instantly..it works everytime. She loves nappy change. or is it every baby like this, perhaps I am just over-too-excited for my baby. Apologies for that...

ahhh...So much of mama-hood, such a blessing..I could not described, but this is the feeling I have been waiting for..i ♥ every minute of it..grow up beautifully ok, baby..?

my story : confinement

Finally, I am done with the 44 days of confinement. so quick kan? time flies when you are having fun! Yes, fun I mean by I was not expected to do any kind of work or chores, and get extra special treatments, oh feeling like a princess ( cehh ). Special treatments here are:-

Shower: Being prepared hot boiled flowery and daun-daun yg wangi for the first 20 days in the morning for showering. So refreshing..I felt better every each day..

Massage: Got massage treatment from top to toe everyday for 30 days. The oil she used for urut Sue dah la wangi, some kind of sunflower oil, very nice smell. My hubby every day balik kerja said I look glowing.. b'cuz when you get massaged, blood flow bagus throughout your body system, so it shows!

Barut & Stockings: I think most people rasa uncomfortable being barut n to wear socks all the time. But for me, I love to be barut because I can actually see the difference on my belly dah kecik every each day, and I felt so secured and looks slimmer at that time! Socks issue ok cuz its Autumn now anyway, sejuk!!

Yes, I put and ikat my rambut very high n ketat.its for the blood flow..

Supplement Pantang/Set pantang : Nona roguy set had the best reviews of all the pantang set available in the market, from my research lah. So I bought the set which cost me rm360. However, the set Sue tak tersentuh langsung cuz my Nenek already made her best potion for the ubat ubat n oitment, which I found very bagus. The stitches wound cepat je heal with my nenek's ubat. So Sue nak sell my Nona Roguy set (new n bottles unopened) which also comes with bengkung for so much less of the full price. please email me if interested..

Foods: well, this part tak pantang sgt. Reason being Sue BF Adriana, but I refrained myself from air sejuk, seafood - udang,sotong, eggs but other than that, makan like normal..pizza pun pizza lah. I wish to pantang betul betul on foods, but since Sue bukannya ada option but to eat apa yang ada. Maybe if I am in malaysia, and so many people can actually look after me. boleh la demand the right ikan and the right food to eat or not to eat. =( but my appetite dah less,not like when I was pregnant.oh thank God for that..

Mak Long :Neither of our parents are here for baby delivery or pantang - sgt sedih actually, so Najib's aunt came to help me, she is a professional pengurut, she works full time as a masseuse. Sangat thankful to have her at this time. She bukan saja dtg to help urut, but she cooked, and even sampai lipat kain. Sangat caring sayang sgt Adriana.. She was so good urut I lost a lot of kgs, smaller tummy, feeling better everyday..

if anyone is looking for orang urut bersalin or urut normal, or having problem with breastfeeding, where the milk glad dah stuck, or we call it bengkak susu, she can sort that out. I really would like to recommend her. Her name is Faridah, I call her 'mak long'. So from here I can conclude my pantang only took the pros' n happy happy part not cons' part patutlah FUN. I even heard ada pantang so strict, cannot even mandi, reading, or tgk TV. oh that would be very hard. Sue kluar a few times during pantang...bawa aunty jalan jalan. but that was after day 20, so it wasn't that bad, cuz I kesian sgt my aunt datang for a month, she arrived the exact day Adriana was born, therefore she tak sempat nak tgk Dublin pun..

My weight so far :-

Pre-pregnancy - 48 to 50 kgs
Final stage pregnant - 69kgs ( ive had a HUGE belly and BIG appetite )
Post Labor - 62kgs ( 7 kgs gone - Adriana was 3.54kgs , water n everything else 3.4kgs )
first 2 weeks post labor - 59kgs
Today - 56kgs
my aim at least is to go back to 50kgs by Adriana is 6 months old.

To reach my aim, the to do list -
1. to get the Premium Beauty Corset (PB), i heard they can help you to slim down so much. true? Its damn expensive too, rm2k, if its any good, then boleh beli..
2. Breastfeeding exclusively
3. Eat breakfast, Little and Late Lunch, Skip Dinner
4. Stop eating chocs, and the titbits especially the Cream Caramel.
5. Keep busy with looking after Adriana, house chores and cooking! ( erti kata -exercise )

Any other suggestion to get the pre-pregnancy body..?

What is TENS machine?

TENS is a drug free, non-invasive pain relief method that is safe to use for both mother and baby. There are no harmful side effects and as a result babies are born more awake and responsive than those whose mothers have used strong drugs for pain relief. The TENS machine emits low frequency electronic impulses through the skin to block the pain signals carried to the brain, thereby reducing pain experienced. It also encourages the brain to produce the bodies own pain killing hormones, called endorphins. TENS machines for childbirth have two currents, or modes of operation. One current is used when resting between contractions and a stronger current is used during a contraction. A hand held boost switch is pressed to change the current between resting and contraction modes.

being able to breastfeed my baby , the feelings are miracle. kudos to Bunda Myra, always share her info about breastfeeding n related to bf. Since being exposed and being educated about the importance of bf, I aimed to bf exclusively to my baby since day 1 I found out I was pregnant..

Yes, the first few days trying to breastfeed, it was quite hard, but I think my experience wasn't too bad. I started using Lansinoh cream applied when I entered my last 6 weeks to my expected date. Sue started early so that the sensitive part dah softened by the time dah ready to lacting and avoid nipple berdarah and sakit.

The first few hours holding Adriana, nurse tried to lacting tapi she sibuk nak tido, so she put Adriana on my dada, and I was soo tired anyway after long hours of laboring. I feel like mummy kangaroo at that time. Skin to skin mummy n baby can help the lacting process.

First few days, it was like breastfeeding baby with empty boobies. but the colostrum, the first few drops are enough for the baby as the baby's tummy is very small.

Unlike in Malaysia, hospital private ada bilik sendiri and nurse take care baby you kan, while u rest , sini, baby is all the time with you. I have to do everything myself, the nurses akan show you only the first time nak breastfeed her, tukar nappy, mandi kan baby n stuff. Dah la tgh sakit and too tired, but I have to manage everything myself, nasib baik tak broke down...

Day 3, I didnt produced a lot of milk yet for Adriana, so we had to top up supplement milk for her. As I want to bf exclusively sgt to her, I wasnt happy to use supplement, tapi takkan nak let Adriana hungry kan. but after taking advices, Sue actually use both - breastfeeding and bottle, just because I know someday I will need to get back to the office. My sis in law bf her daugther exclusively until the baby got too smart, and tanak bottle langsung, which she said very susah one if wanna go shopping n keluar...

Hence, Adriana is feeding through bottles and bf. I wish not to have her minum supplement too much, but I havent managed to express milk yang berbottle bottle dlm fridge. I took Fanugreek (GNC brand) , herbs that could boost the milk production, they are in pills,so no problem to have them but really I envy mothers who can express their milk byk byk. I wish I can reach to that as well soon.

I am using the Medela Freestyle to express the milk, which was so convenient to express both breasts at once cuz I found that if express one side, the other side tend to kluar byk jugak. i just love the Medela FS - nuff said.

My aim is to breastfeed my little girl up to she is 2 years old. I hope I am able to..insyaAllah..

*please be advised, this post is quite detailed and long, I recorded the experience because I realised I slowly began to forget them*

Wednesday, 22nd September - 37 weeks
I found spots of water on the bed, curious, but waited to monitor during the day. Nothing.

Thursday, 23rd September
Checkup at the hospital, told the midwife of the watery spots. She quickly asked me to put off my tights, she then masukkan this thingy- big vibrator like (sory i dun no how else to describe! ) in my vagina. shoot! sakit gler, I actually traumatised sekejap the whole day, terbayang bayang how she did it. Then, terfikir, how la nak bersalin like this if nak check pun tramautised! Bleeding for few days.. The midwife cakap your waterbag is still intact, but your cervical dah start buka..
ok, I was not worried anymore.

so the whole one week, I woke up with watery spots on my bed. told my mum, she said, oh you inherited your grandma, she had the same, where she said lagi banyak air keluar, lagi senang nak bersalin. my Grandma had 9 children.. Sue pun hopeful for an easy delivery...

Thursday, 30th September (38weeks)
Was doing cleaning and kemas cupboard kitchen, then suddenly water turun banyak but not like a big gush.Worried. So collected the sample of the water. Called hubby, then he quickly came back from the office. It was 12 o'clock in the afternoon when it happened.But I was not ready...so I continued kemas rumah, until I was satisfied, we went to the hospital malam tu.

Midwife checked baby heartbeat using the machine, baby was ok. Then I showed them the water sample, they said confirmed, it was from the waterbag. But no contractions. Midwife said to come tomorrow morning for inducement.

Friday, 1st October ( hoping to have baby birthdate 1st October - same to her granpa )
Morning, calmly went to the hospital at 9am, then waited for a few hours for the waiting room. At 11.30 am dpt bed, at 12 o'clock, Doctor broke the waterbag - thought it will be painful, but it was not. The doctor used the lidi like and inserted dlm vagina, but it was ok. Yang sakit was the tube pasangkan kat my right hand. I was given antibiotics for the baby through the tubes into my veins,cuz fear of getting infections.

Still wondered, mcam mana rasa contractions..? Dalam waiting room, ada 8 beds, so at times heard org menahan contractions. Why I didn't feel it, wish I can get it through and over with a.s.a.p.

1pm ++, the contractions started, it was like having a braxton hicks which I had them a few weeks before already, mengeras kat upper belly and also, sakit sakit kat lower abdomen. My water semakin banyak, gushing out like a river, the nurses selalu kena tukar the piece of cloth yg avoid the bed basah.. at first, contractions are mild one until 4pm ++, tried main scrabble with hubby while awaited for the stronger ones.

4pm ++ Alright, the contractions was getting stronger and 5 mins apart. Tak boleh concentrate Scrabble. Done with the game. Time for TENS machine, Hubby pasangkan the machine, guna level 1. Started baca baca Ayat suci Al-Quran.. yes, it was painful..applied correct breathing technique. Soon after I realised, I was actually dah bunyi sama ngan org org yang I slalu wondered sakit ke contractions, sbb breathing kuat sikit from normal...puhh puuhh...

The pain just consumed your energy, tried to jalan jalan, mmg slow and tertunduk tunduk tahan contractions. Regret pulak rasa tak sabar nak contractions cepat cepat, now wish it could stop, but instead of that, it came closer and closer and stronger. TENs machine still at level 1 but 5th stage. More than that mcam electric gigit kulit, tanak lah. Still have Level 2 and Level 3, however I wish not to use those levels.. Poor Hubby was controlling the machine, I was like, ok now, ok tukar, ok up level. Kesian dia. I could not control the machine myself, as I could not focused.

10pm ++ It was already 9 hours of contractions, midwife checked the cervix - 1 cm. Alhamdullilah happy nya- Im in 'labor'.

Hubby quickly kemas kemas getting ready to go to labor ward. On the way to labor ward, jalan two steps,contractions, ya Allah, mmg sakit...

11pm++ In the labor ward. Midwife tanya 'which pain relief that you wish to have - do you want an epidural?' without a second thought, YES, please. I was already 10 hours of having contraction and dah lemah, I really needed 'Hapi'dural to go on...

Saturday, 2nd October
12am ++ Epidural Procedural , at the same time, got a lot of 'high gas' ! Contractions was so damn painful, epidural procedure tak rasa sakit pun! I was actually shocked bila the anestetic dr. tu said, 'ok its done!'

Soon after that when the pain relief dah started to kick in, Sue terus tidur! Hubby balik rumah to cleaned up and rest a bit.

2pm ++ Midwife - Michelle checked cervix opening - shocked! still at 1cm since the last 4 hours, I was totally shattered. I need 10cm! How many hours to go?

I was put on Oxytoxin, hormones to make the contractions stronger. 2 packs of 1000ml through my veins. The contractions are so strong, even with epidural, I was actually menahan sakit. Worried my epidural dah habis to kick in sbb I can't stand the pain at my back, asked the midwife normally how long epidural lasted sbb after few hours, I felt the pain. I want more, luckily ada booster for epidural, I just need to push the button, the epidural will be top up in every 15 mins. At the same time, I took gas! A lot of them...Yes I know, I am very low tolerance in managing pain..

I tried baca Surah Mariam..Slowly, one by one baca ayat suci Al-Quran..hoping I am 10 cm dilated.

Asked the midwife, when can I expect her to check my cervix again - oh normally when put on Oxytoxin, it will be the next 5 hours. Ya Allah, tolong la hambamu ini...

While waiting and battling pains, Hubby was very supportive eventhough I knew he was already tired. The room next door, I can hear the mommies pushing2. Ada yang shouting like crazi, if dgr, mmg everyone will go, oh god, can I do the pushing?mmg saiko! Sbb we have agama to say why we have to go through all that, tak perlu menjerit jerit walaupun sakit yg teramat. Omputih kesah apa, all out ok! SOmehow mmg give negative thoughts to me, takut n saiko sgt dah nak push...

5pm++ Michelle came and checked my cervix, I was really hoping to hear - ok you are 10cm dilated- macam dgr results exam keluar, you wanted it sooo much to hear the good news.. Alhamdullilah, I was 10 cm dilated. from 1 cm and the next 10 cm was like miracle...Hubby asked, when can we expect to push - Michelle said' in two hours'..now try to rest as much as you can. tutup lampu, we tried to sleep.

6am++ Michelle came ' wakey wakey..time for baby' We thought we have to be wheeled to a different room, tapi tak, pushing was done in the same room. So every contraction came, pushing started. As I was on epidural, I could not focus to push. I was quite crap in pushing, most of the energy went to the face, bukan down below. For 1 and half hours, doctor said I have to be assisted with vacuum, cuz normally pushing max for 20 mins, and I was extremely penat and out of breath.
Battling with breath, pain, anxiety, tiredness..within 1 hour my face became like balloon, my mata nak tercabut je sbb doctor said jangan tutup mata...my face kluar spots...pushing kuat sgt, the pressure sgt kuat, my pores on the face pun terbuka..my arteri dalam my eyes pun pecah, merah berdarah in the eyes.

Within second, the room dah filled with 6 ke 7 people tried to help me to push. Doctor said ' I have to perform epiosiotomy ( potong bawah ) - to avoid tear. At that time, Sue berserah je, do whatever you want.

at 8:20am, my little princess, Adriana Sofea was born.

Doctor put her on my chest, I wanted to say ' hello baby ' tapi jadi, baby .. baby.. je..cuz I think I was in another alam already..Doctor performed the jahit for 30 mins. I know most of people said, jahit was the worst part, but cuz the epidural, I felt nothing... Then everything is done.

This is my story how I delivered my first princess to the world.. I am amazed for mothers to go through labor without epidural, for those yang went through 24hours labor, but no pain relief. Ya Allah, Solehah kan lah anak perempuan ku, selamat kan la dia setiap masa... She is just soo precious..

I am feeling the miracle of being a mother - syukur syukur, for the miracle..

my belly is super belly besar!
anyhow, i am happi mummy to be!

this year banyak sgt open houses. alhamdullilah for byk rezeki makanan..and i get to eat what I want. so no reason not to pantang cuz mkn so byk. last friday was my last day working. was really glad that i made it to the very last day to work. so maternity leave for 7 months paid due to go back office April 2011. if not enough, i am still entitle for extra 16 weeks more, but no pay. we'll see if we have sorted at that time who to look after baby...still cant believe. means this is the longest holiday that i will have..cuz masa SPM break or college break, I always make sure I worked in the office, or shop.

hubby suprised me with a big bouquet of flowers - as a good luck he said. I'm really into flowers so i am so pleased that get one! thank you Luv =)

today dah finalised all things to buy, got the TENS machine, tonight finalise baby bag. Tomorrow will finalise baby space..

It can be anytime now. Please pray for me and baby for the smoothest delivery... I keep my mind open - our body is designed to give birth...every each of us on this planet dilahirkan from mother's womb, every mom can do it. I can too... !!

everytime Sue tgk the photo with the big belly, i think i am going to miss being pregnant, baby kicking in the womb, talk to the belly.. baby is actually sgt senang pregnantkan dia. except for me sakit belakang and SPD, other than that baby was so nice to me. cant think any other way how easy it went for me. i hope and doa supaya Baby ni senang nak dilahirkan and dijaga, which I will do my best to take care of my lil princess..

The other day, got abit emotional.. what if...what if.. If I did not make it.. let my baby be safe, and whispered to his ears, please take a really good care of her. without realising it.. tears running down my cheeks..

someone did asked me if i were to rent out my baju nikah n wedding dress..i'm ok with it, but i don't know how much should i put the price to rent out. please can you suggest..? 10% or 20% from total cost of baju rule ?or ada standard price to rent out? n what are the conditions? amik deposit tak? the dry cleaning cost to include?

i love my baju nikah..its made out from chiffon n soltiss laces, i almost broke my bank buying the kain..but it turned out as lovely as i'd imagine...i wonder when can i fit that baju again..! i would sell out all my brg weddings, but this one, its for sure for keepsake..

alhamdullilah.. i am considered to reach the full term pregnancy at 36 weeks. today I am not working, ganti the raya day off that I am supposed to get last Friday. Starting tomorrow I will be doing the half days for two weeks, being 24th September my last day working and yeay, go for maternity leave for 6.5 months. So I am expected to back to work in April 2011. Well, I am also entitled to 16 additional weeks on top of the 6.5month paid leave..hopefully everything settled by April, no need the extra non paid 16 weeks. but I might want to spend more time with my baby..we'll see..

Why still working in September? I looked so sarat already, ramai asked why still working? I chose too. I thought of getting an earlier maternity leave, tapi since sakit haritu and being alone in the house, Sue sgt bored so I thought why not getting half days - at least I get to meet people, interact with people and jalan! yes, hope by moving a lot, it will help my labour process nanti..

My have minimal problems with my back pain nowadays, alhamdulillah. I have proved to improved a lot. At first, I have no confidence at all to go through normal labour and was thinking about to opt c-sec. But when things are getting better and I went to a few antenatal classes conducted by the hospital itself, I think, I can do it.. to go through the whole normal labour, and keep an open mind of having epidural. Will try not to take as there is a risk of getting it, with my historical of back pain. but the anesthetic have confirmed that it is safe for me to take the epidural.

I have been attending the free antenatal classes, and hubby has not joined any due to the timing of the classes.. the thing is , if nak pergi to the paid ones, will cost us eur170 which I think its quite a lot for hubby to get his info. it is so important for birth partner to know what to expect?

lately, belly selalu hardening but I dont know whether its Braxton Hicks, cuz only the upper part of the belly hardened from time to time, and I felt nothing happening on the lower part of the abdomen. Sue never experienced sakit period before this, so its hard for me to tell...I used to get the belly mengeras, but now it is more frequent and today, rasa a mild pain. I still have 4 weeks to my expected due date..we'll see if I labour earlier than that..

today, I just started to wash all baby's lil' mittens, booties and bibs. hopefully sempat to wash all her stuff..

Both of our parents won't be around because we think its better to save money, and we will be going back to Malaysia anyway, around Dec or January...so an aunty will be coming to help me on the 1st October, so I hope baby can lepak in the belly first, until aunty sampai, cuz it will be really hard for Sue n Najib who never had any experience of handling the baby. Aunty pandai mengurut orang bersalin, hope she could help me and i wish to ikut the pantang really strictly, as I have put on weight too much.

I'm at 33 weeks!yeay! soon after recovered sakit, trus berjalan.. hik hik.. actually hubby went for a business trip to london, so he wants me to teman him, which also Sue teringin nak pergi cuz of the food! london byk restaurants halal n i'd say cheaper than the ripped off Dublin.. since everything is paid for..so I flew to London with my big belly!

Suprisingly no one asked sbb the possibilities they wont let me fly mmg high! i had my doctor's letter to say its safe for me to fly..so if anyone asked, sue ada letter! =)

it was a risky trip..cuz i had to fly alone from Dublin to Luton airport. yes, we went with different airlines. naik plane sorang =( then, i had to manage alone, renting the car n drive from Luton to Heathrow where I met my hubby there. Actually I haven't been driving for almost 9 months, since balik Malaysia for my wedding n since the back pain at the start of the year. Hubby did all the driving all these times, n imagine, with my big belly n lama tak drive..this trip was very challenging for me.

Very tempting to shop for baby stuff in London..more choices! near Luton airport ada Babies'r'Us - the collections are sooo cute. more of pink stuff for baby girl..since her cots n bath are all teddies theme..I think put a bit of girly-ness to her room...

in London we stayed at the Sheraton Skyline Heathrow hotel..nice hotel, which is near hubby's workplace..

while Hubby is working, Sue stayed alone at the hotel, well at least the hotel ada starbucks n i can facebooking! and I went for a swim. Best nya rasa verryyyy light! have you done any swimming while pregnant, try la.. mmg recommended by doctors! dont worry about chlorines, it wont affect the baby..

went makan kat C&R in Bayswater, Udang butter dia mmg superb, one of the best! Also, Satay House ada ice kacang..hooray. Jom Makan at Westfield ada gado gado yang delicious.
The best thing about the trip is tak naik tube langsung, oh i hate them, so crowded, n not suitable for me yg baru heal jalan n big belly ni. We hired a cheap taxi cab..oh tak mampu nak naik black cab everywhere..they are saiko mahal..anyway , everything company covered from transport, hotel n makan, so what more can we asked!

thanks hubby who dragged me to London, as he knew that I wanted to go away from Dublin, even for a short while, or short distance, before baby is born. i'd say, I am a very happy mummy to be..

syukur pada rezeki yang ada and for more rezeki to come, InsyaAllah..

1st day Ramadhan

so hows your 1st day Ramadhan? mine.. I only lasted until half day! I am still on recovering condition and still on sick leave n tak pergi kerja, i think I am not yet ready - for my condition n baby to puasa. I will insyaAllah, I'll take it longer n longer everyday try not to eat. Nanti dpt lah puasa =).

second concrete reason is Dublin puasa time, sahur habis pukul 4am and buka 9.07 pm, which actually 5 hours longer than normal puasa time in M'sia. Ive asked around, semua pun dah lembik by 7pm then ada another 2 hours to go. Takpe la..lagi nikmat masa berpuasa..challenging skit..

we actually already planned nak balik ramadhan next year. this year is our 7th ramadhan in Dublin, rasanya lama sgt tak pergi Pasar Ramadhan, dgr Masjid buat terawikh.. i miss it all. =(

since we do not have Pasar Ramadhan n semua org post kat FB mknan semua best best n fancy, we can only ber-pasar ramadhan Dublin style which beli all the biscuits,cakes, desserts kat Marks n Spenser. tah apa apa kan..i kesian kat my hubby he loves all the kueh malaysia. I actually made some popia yesterday for him. and we just bought nasik ayam madu from our fren ( sue still cannot walk properly n easily got tired hence tak lepas nk masak full ), so Sue masak sayur n thats all for our buka.

eventho it was so simple,I am thankful that I can share it with my hubby, especially he likes my popia. Yeay. i will make some apam balik, roti jala, sardine rolls. hmm, bila la i nak pandai buat tepung pelita..

Ambulance and Hospital

thursday,29th July 2010 - i was feeling unwell, stomach cramps, so I didn't go to work, anyway, I need to rest from the bad back pain. I rested the whole day, seems fine and ready to go to work the next day..

friday - 30th AM July 2010 - something happened and i was so upset. i really wish that old stories never came up again. its pointless. so please dear XXX, please be happy so that me and my dear hubby, and baby can be happy. Because we are so happy. We do not need problems, or issues, especially it got to do with the past. nothing can undo the past. I am all positive and happy. I hope you can too.. for your own health, and others happiness! please be happy dear XXX...because I am worried about you..so worried until I hurt myself. it has been twice, please no more of third time..

So I was extremely upset, suddenly, I felt a shooting pain below my belly, my abdomen. i cant walk. i cant lift up my feet at all. I became so worried for the baby. I could not sleep the whole night. I waited until morning so that I can see my doctor. I wanted to go to the toilet, I took forever, every steep I took with extreme pain and tears...

Morning - we called the hospital to get the wheelchair, but they advised for us to get the ambulance. so the ambulance came, because there is no way to go anywhere without their help. it was my first time to ride an ambulance! haha..i can laugh now, but I was in all tears that time.

Doctor has confirmed that baby is doing ok. Alhamdullilah, thats all I need to know. I can bear all this pain, as long as you are fine, baby....

I was admitted as it is not safe for me to be at home. I was given medicines and frequently checked by doctors and midwives. They gave me ice pack for my abdomen, given a walking aid - i feel like learning to walk again. given 2 types of support belts for my belly. Doctor said that my muscles and joints were are fired up, not able to support the belly..thats the reason with the sharp pain whenever I tried to lift my legs. =(

Najib has been very supportive, he was besides me all the way. He helped me a lot as I was hopeless - i cant even moved..

Doctor said to stay in the hospital until the weekend - 3 days, but even being half day in the hospital seems forever, especially I shared the room with 'other waiting for labour mothers' - so all the uuhh ahhh uuhh ahhh - (contraction pains) made me thinking about 'my own labour day' takut ok!

so I begged the doctor to release me, promised him that I will take my medicines, and convinced him that my husband will take good care of me at home.

So here I am, home sweet home - i was on the bed most of the time, time yang very painful when nak gi toilet -toilet n mum to be mmg tak boleh separate. I choose not to take any more painkillers as I read all painkillers like neurofen @ibuprofren and anything that have codine , ada risk to pregnant ladies, especially the last 3 months pregnant. So I do not want to risk it. I will bear the pain.. i want baby to be safe.

Looks like i have to walk with this for a few days, which sekarang my tangan sakit because when I walked, i put all my weight on my hands..so kena minimise walking..

I hope I can get well soon. Its really worrying because ada 2 months to go for full term pregnancy. I could not believe how I entered my last trimester. where ambulance and hospitalised in the story!

Mama at 28th week having you in my belly!

Dearest precious baby girl,

These are the photos taken when you are 28th week in my womb. Mama n Papa hope for nothing else, only for you to grow healthily and beautifully.. be safe always baby..

At first you are hiding your face, then the midwife said, hope she can turn to the right side,which if not we cant do anything only to see the back of the head for 40 minutes. Then Papa rub Mama's tummy and said, please baby, we want to see you.. and you turned as if you listened to him..thank you baby, if not the euro220 turned to waste!

You smiled, put your little fingers up, closed your eyes with your two hands, and yes you never stop kicking.. but they are cute kicks, Mama don't mind..the photos and videos are very clear..you gave the best position for us to see you.. baby, this is one of our miracle moments..we felt all loved up!!

We can't stop smiling for the rest of the day.. thank you for making us feeling very lucky.. to have you in Mama's tummy and to know that you are fine.. we cant wait to see you in 2.5 months time..

two trimesters down, one to go - 27th week

so babycenter reminded me that I am now on my 27th week. Alhamdulilah first and second trimester went smooth. sgt syukur...well this is the summary for my first and second trimester and how it has been for all 27 weeks being pregnant..

we found out that 'we' are pregnant on my week 6.5. I was confused with my body changes I thought due to my back pain - the severe lumbar instability I had after the wedding which Sue kena naik wheelchair masa honeymoon! yes, it was so serious, the doctor had advised me try not to get pregnant, cuz my back not that strong..give it a year he said. but Allah Maha Mengetahui apa yg terbaik dan Maha Kaya, rezeki to us, I'm pregnant soon after the wedding, or we called it Bunting Pelamin. =) The doctor confirmed the pregnancy and the expected due date 10.10.10

Of course we are delighted! During my first trimester, I have no morning sickness, I rarely threw up..only at times when office too busy..or when I am extremely tired. All I need to do was to make sure I ate something masa makan n not to skip any meals. Pening only come and go and that was it. Sometimes I felt like so normal I forgot I was pregnant! I performed like normal at the office, I think I had only 1 sick leave. My hormones tak suka lap top, telefon, tv or any technology stuff..nasib baik boleh operate PC kat office. I bought an Iphone during that time, I did not even register or upload any application until the phone was lost , i think i had it for 3 months- if org jumpa phone tu like having a brand new phone! adoi.what a waste. Blog tak update. FB tak bukak. agak kronik..hehe..
Also, I can't have lamb, which before pregnant, lamb kebab or lamb chop are my favs! tak tahan bau. other than that, Sue tak alergic apa apa.. maybe weakness part laundry. Hubby settled that part, but I still have my baju boxes not terlipat! adoi.
Oh, but Sue always tido when I get the chance to, balik office, washup n dinner, I went to bed so early like before 9pm. on weekends, I just snuggled myself in the selimut the whole day! i blame the weather..it was winter/spring, so it was quite chilled. Hubby called me 'Princess Sleep' sbb tido all the time..
At the office, I was relieved that the office work was manageable even with the extra work on the audit. being an Account Manager giving a bit disadvantage to team mates, I was a bit garang and selalu onto this my team mate yang agak slow n kurang pandai bekerja. bila think about it again, kesian pulak dia selalu kena marah. as soon as I realised that I was too hard on him, so I tried not to have him do stuff yg dia susah nak pick up, and I dont have to waste my time n energy for the negative stuff kan. always think positive!
We had our first scan on week 13th, that was privately done sbb we were informed the hospital only carry out the scan on week 20th. Lambat sgt. We just want to know if baby is OK, that there is heartbeat, it was a beautiful experience, to see your lil baby of yours. I can described it as my miracle moment =)
1st checkup week 15th - 52 Kgs. normal weight Sue pernah paling berat 50kgs. + 2 kgs..hmm acceptable.
On week 16th, 17th, we went for our honeymoon in NY,LA and Las Vegas. I think I had eaten so much that my bump is already showing. and I felt the first baby kick in NY. that was at the end of week 17th. Of course excited because it was my first time. I was holding my tummy all the time so that I can feel the kicks. hubby lagi excited! my love for the lil one in my tummy grew even more, its like the baby is communicating with you!
so that was my 1st Trimester. Im glad it went smooth as I had hoped!

2nd checkup week 25th - 58Kgs. up by 6kgs! ouch.. and my belly sgt besar I looked like 7 months pregnant lady. So I asked my mum if she had a big belly while she was pregnant..then I know why! its in the genes!
During the 2nd trimester, I was always in my happy mood.So I agree with ppl yang ckp the 2nd trimester is the best time during pregnancy. I was active, buat chores rumah like normal and I am so into cooking. I love to cook sgt that I cooked everyday. oh the baby loves Malaysian cooking - dislike Indian foods and no no to Chinesse foods. If possible, home cooked meal. Lunch bawa bekal to office sbb can only makan nasik, no appetite for sandwiches!
Baby kicks lagi banyak sometimes I rasa like she was dancing ke apa..tak perlu put hands on tummy, tummy akan bergerak gerak..mmg best!
Sue dah no more tido and penat like in the first trimester, the feelings was totally different! Weekend we started to look for baby stuff. Usha usha belajar apa stuff needs to buy. Then from usha usha I became obsessive to shop baby stuff. especially when the doctor said it is a baby girl that I am carrying. Lagi la all the cute pink stuff and pretty dresses. Learned that sgt banyak barang baby we have to buy..kena budget kena budget!! betul ppl said, once you r pregnant and have a child, you put yourself second. I dont feel like buying anything for myself, everything is for the baby now..
anyhow..Second trimester was great! =)

Third trimester, back pain started to kicks in. and I walked so slow like a penguin. I had to wear a support piece of cloth that my physio gave me, to support the belly. Syukur I had no trouble sleeping. We bought the support pillow Dream Genii, which was quite expensive for a pillow but I think the pillow do its justice, we bought it quite early during mid term 2nd trimester knowing I would need it anyway. Alhamdullilah, I think semua ok the fact that the doctor had advised me not to get pregnant in the first place, I thought my pregnancy would be a nightmare. Baby has been good to me, Sue not yet mengidam pelik pelik hopefully no such thing. Ada la teringat foods in Malaysia, but I still can managed not to have it. or if possible to masak, google mesra.net resepi. About my back pain, sitting down at the office is the worse of all, I had two spikey ball, which if rasa sakit belakang, I rolled these balls against the chair with my back. Nasib baik they are small,spikey and yellow- yup they are cute. as least released the tensed sakit belakang. Im just worried that later dekat 8 or 9 bulan, I think my back pain will be much severe.
I think of getting an earlier release from the office. Normally 2 weeks before due date which is the 24th Sept will be my expected last day office before the 6 months maternity leave. But I think I will use all my outstanding annual leave for the year and extra leave due to my back pain, so looking for 1st Sept release date. fingers crossed..takut nak ckp to my VP about this.

Sorry for the long post. I really hope from now on to delivery day will be smooth sailing as well..
I also want to say my gratitude to my husband who has helped me during these times, all the chores you did, looking after me, back rub massages when I really need it and say that I still looks pretty even I am huge n gemuk. thank you Cyang..

Today I'll be waving goodbye to my dearest friend, Darina, she's going back to Malaysia for good. She is my closest friend I ever had, we've known for years..since our boarding school MRSM 1998..We lived together as housemates in KL when we did our Diploma, housemates since day 1 in Dublin back in 2004 until 2008...we tido, makan, study, masak, chuckles, holiday, shopping, gossiping...like everything together..we basically grew up together since we first met. I can't thank her enough for all the memories together.. I had a really good time..

Dublin will definitely be quiet for me when she's gone.. definitely will miss her loads. I hope time will fly fast, and she will be here (UK) again and we can meet again..

Hope this beautiful friendship remains... good luck Dot in Malaysia.. keep in touch my dearest friend..

why honey'baby'moon : because we haven't got the chance to go for a real honeymoon since married. we did went for a mini honeymoon which was sponspored by his aunty in Tanjong Jara Resort, T'ganu after the wedding which was Best la, kata free! and 'baby' -because I was 4.5 months pregnant while on this vacation.. which I think after this, no more travelling until baby is a lil bit big =)

5.5.2010 : Dublin is one of the country affected with the volcanic-ash from Iceland-no fly zone during April-May which totally made us sgt worried if our flights were cancelled too. So even a few weeks before we did not really planned the trip n book hotels bcuz we might just postponed since there was so much of uncertainty...Sue pun asyik nak sleep n laptop allergic so i left everything to my husband to plan/book/manage everything for this trip. kinda giving him space to suprise me! =)
On the day itself, all flights are cancelled! except for those flights to fly to the U.S as we are going to the opposite way from the volcanic ash!. Alhamdullilah, we are definitely the lucky ones! last minute packing pulak tu. haha.

Day 1:after 6 hours from Dublin, we arrived JFK airport, excited sgt bcuz dah lama nak pergi US asyik postponed, I got my US visa dah 2 years ago, but finally arrived! so the first thing we saw was rows of rows of NYC yellow cabs..

Off to Manhattan. the heart of the NYC, when arrived at the hotel, the cab cost us $60 =(, and even we gave the cab driver tips, he said this is unacceptable, the tips must be 20% of the total fare. We have been advised by colleagues that US ppl sgt nak tips, but tak agakla byk like that, so, we habis byk on tips cuz covers all taxi cabs, door man, bell man, waitress at the restaurants, semua la..

We found that hotel we stayed in is just around the Macy's and about 8 minutes walk to the Times Square. lucky that its near to everything so no need cabs or subways. The hotel is very comfy, even the breakfast served was nice, you can even do your own pancakes, hubby loves them so much, makan 8 pancakes kot..haha, and its free wifi. we highly recommended the hotel.

since check in hotel can only be pukul 3ptg, we looked for lunch and i found Victoria Secret around the corner, gosh sgt besar, and everything is in there is cheap and pweety. unfortunately cannot borong sesuka hati since body lotions, parfumes semua if byk will make our luggage very heavy, and of course kena save duit for the next 15 days in the States.

malam, eventho it was so tiring after long hours on flight, we kluar jugak just to make sure that we are not jetlagged, the time difference by 5 hours. we went to the famous Times Square. the buildings are skyscrapers,rapat rapat, but very organised, the adverts are all huge, and flashing.. sgt cerah la this city at night. they also provide this stage like where ppl can just lepak and feel the busy-ness of the city..like alicia keys Newyork song - the city made u feel brand new.. thats what i felt. we also went to M&M world, in the photo below, my babybump is obviously showing! 4.5 months and that big? yeah, i know, its gonna be a big Healthy baby, insyaAllah...

day 2..post continue after a month!..if not this post will never be completed and only memories remains..

ok day 2, weather forecasted will be a stormy afternoon in manhattan, so we decided we better shop (excuse sbb tak sabar to go to the Woodbury Common), so off we went from morning after breakfast, walked a few blocks to get the bus. The bus fare cost $42 each for 45 minutes drive je. oh goshh mahal giler for 2 dah $84! but no other options..

over 220 shops, we spent 11 hours there..however dpt cover berapa percent jer, cuz tooo huge and we only picked n choose which shop je nak masuk. overall, mmg nak la nak pengsan cuz the prices are really cheap.. but not labels from europe like chanel, dior, d&g tak payah masuk 1. cuz very limited and i found it rather expensive. so the ones to go is coach, juicy, dkny..guess... hasil tangkapan 7 coach handbags and only 1 juicy! the rest are dresses, tops and jeans.. sgt hectic shopping we forgot to take photos! malam tu i couldnt move anymore, i went to bed straight after. we wish we could spend more time there, cuz barang baby tak sempat nak tgk pun!

day 3: fine weather, so we bought the NY tour package which also include ferry ride tgk statue of liberty. at first hubby reluctant nak naik ferry sbb he worried about me having sea sickness. but bila lagi..so i wore my blue wrist band, well it does work, and tak pening pun =). so if any preggors having morning sickness, beli la the blue band to reduce your nausea..

so at last, we had the opportunity to see statue of liberty since small tgk kat tv je. the statue was actually a gift from french ppl, originally it was in bronze colour, due to sea salt/water, it turned green as we sees it today!

before the ferry ride, we had our lunch just blocks away from the Times Square..at the same time, on CNN live tv - ada bomb scare at the Times Square. the week before,a bomb exploded in a car at the Times Square, i guess NYPD took a little too much precaution cuz then it was just a water cooler..!

we took the tour ride around the city - covered 5th evenue, soho, broadway, ground zero where the two towers collapsed to the ground on 9/11, the china town, and the wall street!every 5 minutes mesti ada police siren, or bomba, there is always something going on. then we felt like, gosh, what a hectic life new yorkers are having..soon we realised, we preferred the laid back chill life in dublin.

malam - we stopped at Rockafella Centre at the end of the tour, went to Saks Fifth Avenue. I was expecting more i guess, Saks is famous of its luxurious shopping experience, but i think nothing beats Harrods! Harrods Knightsbridge in London is the best!

I had a date plan to meet my long old school friend - Munirah like 10 years or more tak jumpa. Munirah and her husband was also on their getaway trip in NY..so I was delighted to see her. She also brought a friend who lives in NY. actually Bank Negara sent him there to work for our country's reserves..mmg salute la.kan. We had a really good Asian dinner=)

Day 4: after breakfast, went for a quick shop kat Macy's before we went to catch our flights to Los Angeles.. before airport we stopped by our friend's house in Manhattan to leave our unused luggage as we will be coming back to NY after the Vegas trip. Sampai kat his apartment, wow, its like an apartment dlm citer Sex n the City, which ada butlers and doorman.

Our friend said the rent for a month at that block is $7k! so only millionaires lives there.. i wish i could live there as well, balik malaysia kerja Bank Negara, then ask them to send me there! ahaha..dream on..

Day 14: Back in New York after 5 hours flight from Las Vegas. As we arrived so early in the morning, we could not check-in the hotel not until 3 pm, so we went to our friend's apartment to pick up the bag and tumpang sekejap at the apartment until we can check-in our hotel yg ke-8 ni. His wife is very pleasant siap buatkan lunch for us.. thank you for the hospitality as we are so tired after 2 weeks holiday, at this stage nak balik rumah and rest. The weather was very wet and strong wind, we could not able to jalan jalan even we wanted so, so we rest for the whole day, malam kluar to get dinner, but it was raining heavily, we kluar sekejap je, anyway, we thought we had enough fun..the body needed to rest before our flight back to Dublin for 6 hours tomorrow..

Day 15: fresh! we went to Central Park, teringat the scene where Charlotte did her running every morning at the Central Park.. the place is very peaceful we forgot the park actually is in the middle of the Manhattan city. We have a few hours left before leaving US, so we went for a quick lunch and last minute souvenir shopping..lots of lots of baju i ♥ NY. and for the last few dollars we had, we splurged it to the $70 luxury cab ride to the airport.. unsure why we did that, i think we are already tired, we need some luxuriness before going back to reality..

back to Dublin...

alhamdullilah, everything went as smooth as planned, even better.. we glad we did the trips before i get soo big, and I think we are ready to have the baby, no more jalan for quite some time after this.. until baby besar skit =), insyaAllah.. i had a really great time during our honey'baby' moon, thank you to mr.hubby for being so brilliantly well jaga his pregnant wife, and keep her 'fine and happy' all the time during the trip.. ♥ him loadss...

it feels weird to be blogging again. it has been ages! i used to wonder why once every bride dah habis wedding, then that was it..sometimes disappointed cuz their input sgt best and we want more..and then i know why. =) your life will definitely changed after the wedding, what matters most is about u n your partner.. but in my case, on top of that, we are expecting! i am 16 weeks pregnant! yea..bunting pelamin =) fast n furious kan..hehe.. alhamdullilah we are definitely blessed!

and i blame the hormones, i dun like laptops during my pregnancy,even tak suka tgk facebook, hence no updates on the blog. but i think things are picking up now, im towards my end first trimester, so i think dah ok skit kot. alhamdulilah, I dont really have morning sickness, so work at the office is like tip top,but i get sgt exhausted at night, so i sleep most of the time when i am at home. hubby called me 'princess sleep'. haha..but that was it. pening come and go, rarely vomit, so again, i am blessed. alhamdulillah....

we went for the first baby scanning, which was requested privately at week 13, as the real first scanning here will be done on 22nd week. lambat kan compared to malaysia. i dun even get my first checkup yet, which scheduled for my 18th week. so the scanning was done, merely cuz we want to know if the baby is ok, heartbeat semua and we didnt expect to see baby was quite big, fully formed, and baby was very active, keep kicking , so looks like jumping, jumping, waving.. sgt active, nurse asked, did you drink coke just now? NO, no way, coke is no way. hehe..
it was definitely love at first sight to see the baby. we are overwhelmed... happy..

so the expected date is 10.10.10, which is just an estimate. but if the baby is very very lucky and ada rezeki, thats the date =) doa kan sue + baby healthy and everything will go smoothly.
we decided to deliver baby here, as quite complicated nak balik malaysia before labour, but i think the best thing which sue look forward too is maternity leave full paid for 6.5 months. yup, more than half a year ML! sgt cool kan. my plan is to be in Malaysia most of that time, yeah!

i am lucky because 4 of my good friends are expecting this year, way to go 2010! i just discovered my dearest friend Dina ada blog about pregnancy, labour and baby, which i found it very very informative. I love her blog! so expecting mums.. this is one of the blog to follow... and you could tell her l0ve for Sophia Nadine, her beautiful baby girl by reading her words...i miss you Dina..wish I could hold Sophia..

Since wedding stuff seems old for me now (baru kawin 4 months!) but baby thingy is far more exciting,everything seems new, and such a wonderful feeling...so i decided to sell most of my wedding stuff...for the next few coming posts..i will show the things to let go.. as i have new things to look for..!

Majlis Kenduri 3.1.2010 & pre-prep

Last day- day 4 wedding, kenduri at my house - marhaban & just plain kenduri, no bersanding or any formal wedding setting. The food was prepared by UBE catering, love the teh tarik corner which also served cendol, and super-yummy ayam goreng yang dimasak on-site.

Make-up done by AyangKamel. Simpleness of the makeup my parents & aunties suka la. and i like it too..the attire was songket set rent from Saidatulnisa, Shah Alam.

Fotographer for the day is Ahmad Suhaimi and the swett gf tagged him along, shes one of the blogger too. nice to have her around during the kenduri... =)

to complete documenting my preparation on the wedding, here are some of the stuff that I arranged too..

1) wedding invitation card
sue ordered my invitation card from kadkahwinku. yes, of course nak pergi indon so that i get nicest n cheapest one, but time was limited for me, and also, got an advice from my sis in law..add the time, cost of going there, cost of shipping (especially) unless you have an alternative here - i really recommend to give kadkahwinku a try. i personally went to see puan Murni, the owner of the card shop, shes the sweetest..i got the best price, free sini, free sana, all ribbons, and even free banner - the large pink one i used at the hotel. the card that i ordered i was the first one to get it, so they even gave me privileged to name it - 'sweetheartku' - every card need to be named - n akhir with ku.. hehe. so if anyone need puan Murni's number, do email me.

2) gift - nikah - chinesse takeaway box (ole Ole Manis) with mini pies inside + custom made stickers.

3) gift - hotel - rose ball candles (ole -Ole Manis) last resort cuz could not think anything else which senang nak handle. but those candles are cute!

4) henna - miracles PJ - but the indian girl came to my house and buat kat my room.. at first she said rm50 (confirmed) then she changed her mind n charged me a bomb..why? oh some people kan!!.malas nak argue, bayar je lah..

5) furniture - all white theme in the room, ordered them from Kelantan...i know jauh kan..then sampai just right before 2 days before nikah day..but the kayu all made out of kayu chengal which are good wood. designs are replicate from furniture sue jumpa around Dublin...laura ashley like - english theme. but i am selling my kerusi off...mama said too many stuff in the room..especially 2 white chairs..

3rd day wedding - Majlis Bertandang, held in Saujana Impian golf resort, Kajang...
there's a tanah lapang just besides his house, so the family decided to build khemah there..
on the day, the pengantin LAMBAT, 1. we just came back home from the hotel pukul 10am, then 2.the bride has to make up - dang!! 2 o'clock baru siap make up n stuff, rushed rumah lelaki 2.30pm sampai. 3. dah start rasa penat..

The bride's attire by Iszal Citra. The kain was the gift from the MIL masa bertunang.. and designer and design of the baju dipilih oleh MIL. she loves the colour - Olive Green..and design is baju kurung moden - its evergreen so that I can wear again in another function..if so fancy, boleh pakai once je... YUP.agreed! but i'd say - pengsan jugak Sue nak bayar Citra...I'll get 3 Syomir's with one Citra's. go to Syomir k girlss!!recommended! =)

Make up by Ayangkamell Ibrahim - check him out in Facebook. Mr. Nas 'great idea' recommended him, he said - cari AyangKamell, he can transform you.. . So I thought, yeah...why not try him...Hubby paling prefer makeup hari-3, well, i love it too..I like the hair-do and the eyes! =)

Well, I enjoyed the day...met a lot of hubby's friends n our friends..Diah & husband pun datang with her BFF..thank you Diah dtg all of our 3 events...! =) ptg sikit towards the evening - groom's family danced 'ponga ponga'. i tried t0 dance too...but wah-cannot tahan with high heels. 3 days and sgt BEST!alhamdullilah.. ok...one more day to go!

A new year..A new life..and A night to be cherished my whole life time... 1.1.2010 =)
alhamdulilah most of the things during the event went as planned..of course ada hiccups here and there..but yang the most important thing is that you enjoy your time.. ok bride-to-be out there!

biggest hiccup i think that night yang made me jadi BRIDEZILLA was the handbouquet! I am a flower lover so handbouquet was one of the things that i was very particular about..even my posts on my blog .. berapa kali hand bouquet revisited. the orchids are my fav..even to the extend my cake nak jugak orchids. i was dissappointed because the vendor yang supposed to provide the hand bouquet dah promised - berapa kali 'iya iya boleh punya'...and because he did for one his customer the flower that i wanted...so that was why i trusted him on the hand bouquet.. but on the day...he did not..

i found out that the hand bouquet was the one yang hotel provide..fresh roses..orangey colour. hmm..so i freaked out. nasib baik rumah sue like 5 mins away from the hotel..asked someone to bring over my calla lily - at least something! but...hmm..unfortunately 'tak kena'.

luckily, MIL yg pernah offered the crystal flowers handbouquet for the wedding to me, but i was too obsessed with orchids..no chance! so bunga dip lah jadi peneman Sue that night. it turned out ok, i guess...

Capacity of guest - kecil sahaja - only 250 pax. only 7 tables are booked for my friends..got 100 friends confirmed..so i gave it a risk - i remembered one of the email discussing about guests with Diah - give it 30% for no show - why? 1. date - new year perhaps org still in new year party mood 2. bangi - agak jauh especially if hujan that night 3. etc etc reasons - last minute change of plan .. so gamble..and worth it! no table yang kosong, minor seating kosong - cuz last year's my bro wedding we had to pay for 5 tables - 50 pax for nothing.. Alhamdulilah..this year we got to avoid something like that to happen. thanks Diah for a brilliant info!

I was so delighted to see mostly my friends are wearing pink! they are sooo sweet! That night was fun .. tangkap gambar and to hear they woo-ing during the montage..that was cool!
paling suka part baling hand bouquet - wow..stempede! but Aziati managed to capture the flower..mmg salute! hehe..

Live-feed went fine - thank you DinaWedding! CT lights (Pak Din supplied) pun ok..the lights we used that changes colour every now n then..during merenjis i request them to stay clear lights..if tak = pening .hehe.

my lil' sister jadi my bridesmaid - the dress was made by Syomir. and my mum's too!- noticed tak- mak pengantin?hehe - both of them make up by Ian Sham

Diah & Dyla which I asked them both to be my pengiring =) make up done by Diyana...i think they looked so sweet and gorgeous.. a special thanks to them..to be part of my big day..
also my usherrette yg pretty - Izrin, Dini, Dzue, Nana, Asyik, Jaja n also (faiezy)!

noticed the beautiful silver bunga pahar on the stage - Nariko . you can rent from her! oh ya..the white chairs they belong to me..bought it a pair, actually need only one for my room..so my mum dah always tanya..tak ada org nk beli ke - cuz we dont know where else to put it? anyone nak beli the nice lathered chair with a really good price - pls do email me at sue_gyrl@hotmail.com

wedding montages - Sue gathered the photo like so last minute due to hard disk corrupt. Mr.Wira from Dinawedding successfully complete them in 3 days time! terer kan...mmg hero!

MC that night was my SIL's uncle..i think he did a great job! my sister in law(SIL) - kak lina n my bro was the wedding coordinator - they even have their own walki-talki which Sue pun tak tahu...i didnt know n least expected my guest book to be filled..but after the wedding it was a pleasant suprised..it was full..and sgt sweet n cantik with all the well wishes. i think my SIL got all my friends covered.. also i bought disposal cameras which i bought here - Confetti . put them around the bride's friends tables. they we being used wisely...loved the outcome, the photos when i developed them, those are captured n used well.

ahh..sorry for a long post..lastly i hope that my chilhood friends, SMSJ friends, MRSM, college, Dublin friends bloggers enjoyed the wedding. gratitude for all who came..thank you for being part of my wedding day! gracie~

I wanted the transparent canopies sgt but when usha harga - at least rm1k each - some quoted rm1500 each. saiko lah jugak for my budget yang limited - so when I knew that Mr.Jas from Accer Event charged rm450 - i knew straightaway getting transparent canopies are achievable.
Mind you that the price does not include the fairies light - so me & my dad went to Jalan Pasar in KL - semua electronics stuff u can get there sgt cheap!. so got the lights at rm5.50 each. beli 24pcs altogether.. i actually have my fairies lights bought from UK - but i used them for my little tree besides the meja makan pengantin that night... oh anyone interested of beli the fairies lights yg i bought from KL -from me can give special price * email me at sue_gyrl@hotmail.com*

Meja pengantin that night dihiaskan by kerja kahwin - the candles we bought ourselves from ikea. On the nikah night we have a few projectors for the nikah live feed - the uncles n aunties yang sitting outside can also tgk the nikah live, at least can give some space for ppl in the house - credit t0 Dinawedding.

oh also, see the butterfly lanterns - the laura ashley like - sue have 5pcs of them and i am renting it at rm15 each - anyone interested? email me aight? sue also used paper lanterns that nikah night, i bought them from kak shaja. I bought 20 of them..- they are cool =)

Here are the hantarans - the bunga dip was used as the deco rather than the fresh flowers. yes, i prefer them fresh, but betul la my MIL said...please use something that we can simpan..after the wedding the bunga dip diberikan to aunties yg nak buat the kenangan..
The bunga dip was ordered from my MIL's friend. Blue theme was chosen for my side to him, and pink for me =)

The gubahan from my side was done by Eliza Elies, noticed type of dulangs are varieties - sebab i like the one silver kerawang, but not enough..so we gave a bit of different look by campur aduk the dulangs. i hope tak pelik n buruk ..

miniature cake done by Aunty Norizzan Bakers - info got from Diahlicious. and Diah was also the one to bawa them and the pulut kuning on the nikah night. Thank you dear! but tak sure what happened to the pulut kuning, meant to have a potong pulut kuning...but *missed* sayang sahaja..=(

Hantaran 11 berbalas 9 - mostly last minute. let me share some info from my own research. if so happen that you r staying/shopping in oversea - barang hantaran like Cincin n Jam tangan..sila lah beli di Malaysia..1.cuz the price you will pay sgt different..for watches - ckp je kat the tokey kedai - ask for discount, they sure will mark the price down..2. like cincin more choices and certainly more affordable at the same 4C's.
other than that, if there is a chance,Handbags and other stuff boleh la beli when boxing day or sale cuz you can claim the VAT tax back.

Diamonds are girl best friends' =) love the 'love diamond' eternity ring from him. Alhamdullilah for the diamond necklace a gift from parents in law and to complete it - received the Dior watch with 43 small diamonds (0.54 TW). my Manolo's, I have been eyeing them since they are on the shelves, maybe I admired them so much, he bought it for me. happi! The LV bag i chose it myself, reason - bcuz on the plate ada 101, which reflect our date 101101 couple dulu kala. hehe..

As my nikah date a bit tricky 31.12.2009 malam, I was informed a few days earlier that mostly my friends are unable to come as they have plans for the New Year.. so I have no expectation of friends coming for my nikah...

but on the day itself, i was suprised..it was so heartfelt to see many of my friends came. It meant so much to me that they came. sorry if sue ruined your new year plan dearest! all i can say - thank you for being part of beautiful moments of my life.

One of my friend who got married before me, i thought was a lovely thing to say ' mostly brides focus to0 much on the wedding reception ceremony- they forgot that the real day is your nikah day - so make it as beautiful as you could - it will be your most unforgettable moments'.
and I can say to all the bride to be out there - cherish those 'nikah day' moments. i had mine, and after even after a month of the wedding , I can still pictured the day very clearly. and i hope you will too...

self wedding planner - a pat at my own back eceh

alhamdulilah...4 days straight weddings selesai sudah..glad that all went smooth..

it was magical!

Sue arranged every single little things about my wedding from A to Z from abroad. my parents are quite bz with work and they have given me 100% my free will to do anything with it. balik malaysia 3 times in 2009, which a bit unusual for me cuz the first time sue balik malaysia was after 3 years tak balik at all. for months bought magazines, browse websites, contact vendors 0 terpaksa stayed 3 pagi nak call malaysia bcuz time difference. but it was all worthwhile. I enjoyed it...!

AND I was so lucky to find dear bloggers - especially Diahlicious who helped me all the way with all the tepat correct information! emailing everyday ok! also other bloggers like WLT, Q&A, Amy Misunderstood, Anil, Nariko, Sabsabby are all very helpful and sgt informative. i would really want to say THANK YOU to all of you.

Also, my friends from Subang..every each one of them are very special to me and semua very helpful to make it all of this happened. ahh i love them to bits..

to my papa who arranged all the money to vendors, to mama, yang every way tried her best to provide the best ( mama is a very good negotiator most of things we bought sama sama semua less nearly 70% - cool ey especially my room was her idea)

my kakak ipar is a great planner too, helped me every way she could and my big brother who protected me all the way - both of them staying in Bahrain, we emailed to discuss about weddings.

my lil sister a.k.a bridesmaid, lynn she was a perfect bridesmaid. she went everywhere with me, she knew everything about the wedding inside out. she did a superb job! iwan, my lil bro 0 driver sue everywhere..n he captured all the right photos during wedding. thanks iwann...

to my MC - uncle Wie who technically saved my wedding... who has the kindest heart. May Allah limpahkan rezeki kepada mu. the last few days before wedding I was not at a right state of mind, but Alhamdullilah, I have all the right people to protect me..

for all the vendors who was involved..mcam mcam ragam, but fun to know how to deal with people. to know when to say the right thing, the right time..made a lot new friends, contacts..nice...!

past weeks have been crazy.. hectic..im at my busiest time of my life - not about wedding but WORK! i spent my last few days of being single in the office.. balik 10 malam everynight. oh sgt tak ada life! ulser dah penuh one whole mouth..takut nak letak bonjela..nanti sakit.. =( . now that im done with my work..it will be all about weddings after this. yeay!

Eight wonderful years together.. and counting..

8 years ago, there was this knight in shining armour asked an average girl her hand in marriage - opps, sorry, to be his girlfriend on 10th November 2001..hehe =). well, let me tell a bit of our history of how we started seeing together, the highlights of our 8 years, ups and down..

We met in college..we took the same course- accounting in YPM, Cheras. not the same class though..I always knew what I wanted to do since high school - to complete my ACCA and to become a chartered accountant. He has the same ambition..so we have had the same journey~ We dated a few months, I felt comfort in him and strong chemistry..he was such a sweet guy, sangat shy, and sgt kelakar..I always find him very amusing! We have same likings which made us really easy to do anything - foods, movie, places that we went..so when he asked me to be his girlfriend, I have to admit, that was one of my happiest day! I still remem ber how he had this piece of paper in his hands, bent down on his knees to ask me. His hands were shaking, and words stuttered - 'takut sgt'..he said, he kept referring to the paper..kelaka but comel at the same time. So after three years in YPM and we continued our studies doing Degree. We flew to Dublin with our batch in 2004. By summer 2005, we completed our Degree and graduated together =). We continue with ACCA and I got my first proper job as an Accountant. Working in the day and classes at night, I was too focused doing both thing at one time, our relationship was a bit slacking. I'd say it was the most difficult time for me..we fought a lot, which we never did before, everything was complicated at that time...down moments..down sgt! We decided to take time off, so we broke up..we dated other people, but we a re still in contact, exchanging stories of who we dated.. I dated a few different guys at one time, just to find the right one.I even dated this mat salleh eceehh..terpaling cute lah kat office..but just doesn't feel right.. we got back together after nearly 6 months apart, knowing there is no one out there that can replace him, not even close..and he felt the same..since then, we are more stronger as a couple...we were so much happier..

10.11.2007, on our 6th year anniversary he proposed! I was so suprised because I didn't expect it at all..not even one bit.Was a pleasant suprise..we told our parents of our intention, they were soo happy with the news..hence the majlis pertunangan in June 2008.

It has been 1 year and a half being his fiance, and I love it.. in another 1.5 months, I will be his lifetime partner.. I am glad that I will marry the guy which I truly love..I'm getting married to my true soulmate, my best friend, my strength and happiness... I could not ask for more, for me he is soo perfect to my eyes...he completes me. I thank God for all of this..

Looking forward for 1.1.2010, the day that will mark our life for the next stage..a married life.

at this stage, wedding preparation is going very slow, at times, terlupa..eh wedding is next month?
takpe chill..lambat lagi kot! hehe...jum jalan manchester.. suka sgt manchester, been there 4 times, and still loving it, we really wish we could settle down there.. everything seems so much more affordable, halal foods are everywhere and we sempat went to see our friend future home..3 storey house, with 3 rooms and 3 living rooms at gbp180k ! what is Dublin to compare to Manchester..furthermore all time fav footballteam Manchester United <--ecehhh!! sorry..nothing about weddings.. just a few piccas from the football match Man United vs. Blackburn (2-0) mestilah M.U menang, very cheap n delicious halal food and future home of our dear friend =)

so here I am back in my place n Dublin after 2 weeks in Malaysia. up and down, & yes sideways, happy, hopeful, fickled minded, tears, excited..everything in 2 weeks. wow. what an experienced.

at this stage, dah tak take note what happened after day 8, but here are the highlights:-

blind date with dear blogger - Diahlicious at Pavillion. ah shes so sweet..sgt lembut ok.. we've been emailing like everyday since start Ramadhan, I approached her with all the wedding questions, sgt baik to give all her opinions and share her tips. her wedding sgt gorgeous ok!! and when I was in KL, I woke up sgt early everyday as my fiance akan call like 6 am due to time differences..so by 8 o'clock dah telefon Diah before she starts working..sorry Diah!! hehe..thank u lah melayan i hehe..So we met at La Bodega, looking fresh n pretty even tho dah kerja satu hari, she brought me kueh raya tart nenas and chewy cream puff yang sgt sedap - makanan malaysia she said =) sgt sedap ok!thanks for making your time to meet up!

after the hen night, kena balik rumah because promised mama to sleep on my own new bed which she arranged for them to sampai before i went back even at least for one night ( thank you mama - the mattress is mama's gift ) - slept for an hour , finalised packing, off to airport. =( sedih sgt..not enough time spent with mama..

Malaysia, i'll see you in 2 months time...

A week gone by...

So it has been a week + 1 day. woshh..im getting pretty tired.. but can't give up..!

day 5:
in the morning, drove to Shah Alam to see Rumah Kebaya, to sewa baju for the 4th day kenduri..kena save sikit! Kak Siti Nur is very sweet! after that..went to see the tailor who got my kain, so after a few phone calls and directions to meet up, Alhamdullilah, dah dapat the kain. I'm so pleased that the kain dah safely in my hand. huh..byk betul drama with the kain.

in the afternoon, as scheduled, went to see the videographer and photographer. As they were my previous video,photographer for my engagement, the discussion for the 3 wedding events was smooth, Alhamdullilah..they knew exactly what I need..so I really hope it will turn out well too.

Sebaik sahaja lepas discussion with them, tokey kedai card invitation I went on day2 stepped into the studio, rezeki saya kot dpt met with her. We planned to meet at her card shop tomorrow.

Malam - dinner and spent time with family in law to be. A lot of things was discussed. hee...

day 6:

in the morning, as planned with the tokey kedai card, went to the card shop, I was delighted as we got a really good price. She was really helpful and sangat baik, she even will provide the free buntings! cool ey. So the cards prices was finalised, but I want my parents to see them first before putting deposit.

Ran to jln bukit bintang to see flower decorator. The girl that I spoke with has a lot of brilliant ideas, I'm still waiting for the quotation though..if the price is right..I might want to go ahead with them..ahh fingers crossed the price is within my budget! takut nya tgk price now ni...!!

still having problems with roads in KL, my direction sense tak boleh pakai - always salah jalan and struggling with traffic jam. =( this actually made my kerja lagi stressful and tiring, and of course..time consuming..for the last few days, I forgot to eat, if teringat pun, take away, makan dalam kereta while melayan jammed on the road.

so I decided to take time off dari wedding stuff- malam, lepak with my 2 besties from my boarding skool dulu, dinner at Tony Romas in Pavillion, at last dpt makan steak.. lama dah tak makan steak, tak halal kat dublin..and went to fish spa kat level 6 kat pavillion tu, that was my first time , leg dipping dalam kolam ikan. oh I know, saya sungguh ketinggalan zaman..sorry!

day 7: morning-bawa my parents to see invitation card that I choose. they like it. alhamdullilah..so dah finalised and paid the deposit. invitation card solved. yippie!

So I was supposed to meet Syomir at 12 o'clock, so I drove from Bangi and was stuck in the jam. Bangi to Syomir's boutique for 3 hours. patutnya dlm 45mins je..i can only mengelengkan kepala..! the plan was for me and Syomir to pilih kain in Jakel. tapi dah lambat like that..tak jadi..so postponed esok to Jakel, but since dah berjamjam dlm kereta, I insist nak jumpa jugak Syomir..

as soon I arrived Syomir's place..masuk boutique..Syomir tgh attend another client..but she was so familiar - walla..she is whitelacetale! wow..kan..never thought boleh jumpa..so we r so excited terus exchange stories, Syomir pun heran how we could be exchanging stories..walaupun first time jumpa. pleased to meet you WLT...

from jlm bukit keramat, ran to PJ, dah janji with parents nak gi usha furniture for my room. my room my mum left it kosong for me to decorate, so after few a options, I decided the theme will be english - colour - brown, silver, putih..erk, i know agak pelik the combination, takpelah..we will see how it turn up. Sue just want to avoid pink lagi this time.. so furniture room dah solved. I'm suprised it was that easy to make my mind on those furniture..i think at this stage..i can't be too fussy!

Lari lagi to Putrajaya, scheduled to meet up with the initial decorator, he wanted to show me his work -I jadi wedding crasher, masuk the dewan seri endon, tapi tgk from the second floor. hmm.. the pelamin was really nice - theme english something like in garden. When thinking about this balik, Sue tak rasa Sue sempat nak cari other deco..i think i just stick to this one...

Malam - supposed balik rumah terus, planned nak stay KL plaza with papa and mama, but I fickled minded nk g open house my friend ke nak balik..then i said to my mum..i missed my friends sgt, i really need to see them. So my parents said go ahead, so I went..but at the same time rasa guilty. So beropen house la sue that night..catched up with frens..!

day 7: As sue dah took my time last night, I said to my parents, I ikut je wherever they want to go today. We went Jakel with Syomir, I ended up buying kain for everyone for my family. Tapi rasa satisfied. My mum also wants to jahit with Syomir..~ then after Jakel went back to Syomir's boutique, measure up my mum.. then went beraya with our old neighbour in Subang Jaya. sgt missed Subang ok =(. After open house, went to SSF for curtains. So for curtain - solved too. Happi!!

day 8: It has been a week non-stop about wedding stuff..so its time to relax sikit. Tengahari tu kejap jumpa aunty Norizzann Bakers for pulutkuning for nikah, miniature for hantaran, and wedding cake for reception...saya inspired by cakes for Diah's wedding! =)

went to Bangar village - booked appointment at Hammam, inspired by Diah too =) thanks Diah.
lepas tu buat threading kat Jalan telawi tu- eyebrows only for rm5. murah giler and cepat sgt!

Alang-alang near bangsar, teringat Florastika. dekat the NewStraitTimes building saja. Went there..the fresh flowers sgt affordable. There are so many Phaleonopsis and also Hydrageas..! sgt suka!

Went to Ikea - makan meatballs. rindu, cuz the one in dublin tak leh makan., tak halal..ada lah buat sendiri swedish meatballs..but guess tak sama..hehe..

So malam, went for the Hammam. Was really relieved..and fresh. terbaik la sbrub and the massage! recommended..!

Another 4 days left for me... Still a lot of things to do..especially the detailed part like carik coordinator for reception!!

day 1 :
luckily tak jetlag - the tip is to arrive malam on your destination. sleep to follow suit the local time.

met the potential decorator - all seems easy but took hours to discuss - nikah decoration finalised.
went to LowYat to fix the corrupted external hardrive (risau sgt about this) - 50/50 possibility but maybe charge up to rm400. aih, agak kena ketuk!
malam went to one of my dearest girlfren. felt so good to see friends again especially it was the first open house for the past six years of raya. rindu open houses sgt!! but pakai baju raya zaman bila im not too sure - kena beli baju raya baru for the upcoming open houses!

day 2 :
as Jakarta is not an option for me for cari invitation card... so went to see potential card supplier. found the one i like but i think its a bit costly. need to revaluate budget whether boleh ke nak ikut rasa hati ni.. but need to see perhaps one of two more supplier- anyone got suggestion?

went to see tailor that I gave my kain to, i changed my mind as I found out the jahitan not kemas. was really stupid back then, dumped the kain to him before researching. bcuz i thought i might not come back again until nearer to the big day. so we met, but dia tak bawa kain, even before i told my intentions. well, it was bad from my side as well, malu ok minta kain balik..but looks like i have too - if not, it will break my bank or baju i dont like on my big day. who wants to risk that!..he seems tak cooperate and there is potential of not getting my kain back. oh no.. tensed sgt cuz i cant proceed with the baju without getting back the kain. im started to worry..i even cried!

so habis tu, kena lupakan pasal kain, need to proceed. so as I was in Shah Alam, went to butik saidatulnisa, to tell them I would want the assistant to make up as it will be only a simple kenduri on the 4th day of kahwin. So we amend the time, but at first the assistant said 550 then she said oh this is for 2010 so naik 650 then bcuz my place in Bangi so like naik rm800. ?????
i think that was shocking..! ive put my deposit with them already so i wasnt sure if i should burn it, and look for other makeup artist? another issue for the day.

it was a tensed day - really need a facial. so i ran to get facial, luckily ada gap that I could fill in the time- that at least made my day. the org facial so nice to me so i got my first wedding gift - a jewellery box from them. ohh so nice lah the girls from clarins. so the day wasnt that bad.

day 3 :
went to Ampang to see tailor for the groom's side. the kain was one of the gift from the engagement hantaran, the MIL to be request the kain to be jahit only to this tailor. went to see him last year, wasnt a good experience but this time, he was very nice and calm, which made him looked professional. Habib was around the corner so went there to check out the butang baju melayu, saw one that I really like and matches the hantaran theme, so I ordered them. happy! one solved.

after that went to see the hall site at hotel equatorial bangi, and the manager for the banquet. i quite forgotten how it looked like when I was there last year. the hall wasn't too big or too small, I think ok ok lah the size. so the potential decorator met with the hotel manager so they could work together. my first thought - i think they wont work well together - hmm...

after the meeting, the potential decorator and I went to kedai kopi to discuss further for hall deco - this time - weirdly, whatever he said on day 1 was not quite right, he started to say that some few things impossible to do, some things do charge more, and it keeps adding up. he also said he cant believe why the hotel does not provide flowers - well, I hire the decorator for that reason, and now he is asking why no flowers. the discussion didnt go well, and start being awkward. we balik with discussion hanging - and i can say I am pretty dissappointed, at this stage, i think they want to only get untung.. =( ok, need to check out other decorator!!

1 am in the morning- the tailor who has my kain called - said if you want to get your kain - met me at this place. ohh so weird- pukul satu pagi??. i asked my father to tag along - he disagreed and said, our safety comes first. so the meeting was cancelled but i am pretty desperate!

day 4:
called the tailor to get my kain bcuz I have to see Syomir Izwa for my baju nikah and dresses. tak angkat phone no luck.

so i had to proceed without the kain to see Syomir. I like his work which I looked over the facebook, they are pretty!

Syomir is a nice guy - hope the baju turn well too! we'll see how it goes!

went to pavillion after that, makan the yoong tau foo at the food court! was sedap nya..but ohh 26rm for yoong tau foo i think a bit crazi! then i check out the eternity ring from the carat club. saw one. instantly in love with it! hehe..hope he doesnt mind!

so rushed to Low Yat - got a call from the guy saying that he was able to get all the photos back! i was so delighted to get them back! sgt happi. but mintak rm450 pulak..aduh naik lagi!..nego nego dpt la 400rm .. hmm..nego skill kena improve lagi la! but im glad its all recovered. yaho. lompat sikit!!

KL jammed giler giler i even dozed off tertido nasib baik tak langar keta depan, so tuka with my sister. kl jammed sgt is it bcuz of the gempa bumi thingy? giler..! lama dah tak main jam jam ni.
so i was late for my father's bday dinner. mama tak jadi ikut cuz i lambat sgt, so i went that dinner only with my lil sister n my father but felt really guilty for my mum. sowwiiii mama..!!!

so thats the 4 days punya stuff. NOT enough, especially with decorator and kain..blum dpt lagi! waa! time is ticking, wish kedai buka pukul 1 malam, so i could proceed with the preparation rather than spending so much time on writing this.

the bags are packed and im not so ready to go! i wish i can sampai terus! i hate being alone on the plane for straight 12 hours.

i cant wait to be back.. but I'm now so sad...just found out that my external hard drive have been corrupted - so all those photos for the last 6 years are gone! I'm just dumbfounded by how things are - especially I really need those photos for the wedding montages. so what now =( ...
I really hope it can be recovered.so I'm counting on someone out there to fix this.. waa tolong la !!

we are nearing Hari Raya..but I'm still could not get to buy the fireworks and bunga api..! I wonder if anyone knows where to get them, or someone that I could contact? I think by next week, it's all gone when I'm back. =(
